Only two days after our half way deadline for support, the money came in. I am just over half way there.

Here we go

I'm joining the ranks of the blog world, as well as the many other members of my team who have started blogs for our trip. The purpose of this blog is to keep everyone up to date on our trip, both before we leave and once we are in Australia.

Campus Outreach is sending out three teams this summer. My team is going to Armidale. Armidale is located half way between Brisbane and Sydney, where our other teams our going.

We are really excited about all three of these teams, and it is really exciting for the Sydney team because this will be the first time a team has been sent to Sydney. We are all so excited to get down to Australia and explore the cities and campuses where we will be living.

Our trip is approaching and it is so exciting, but also a little scary. Its scary to think about how much we have to do to get ready. I am just shy of half way with my support raising, although I know that God is going to provide.

On our retreat a few weekends ago we were presented with a verse that many of us have claimed for this trip:

I was ready to be sought by those who did not ask for me;
I was ready to be found by those who did not seek me.
I said, "Here am I, here am I,"
to a nation that did not call upon my name.
